Brisbane 2033: Legacy Project

Free livestream event – Mission Fit Cities: Competitiveness in the Post Pandemic Age – Part 2

Whilst cities matter more than ever, not all cities will succeed equally in the future. Those that are set for success are making bold decisions now, investing in the sectors and infrastructure that will sustain their competitiveness and lifestyle appeal.

How does Brisbane measure up?

Part Two: Brisbane, A Generation 6 City at 12 – 1pm, Thursday 14 May with James Tuma, Group Director Future State, Urbis

The megatrends and ideas explored in session 1 set the scene for a future in which a new generation of cities will be forced to emerge. Six themes will underpin success in this new urban age – some familiar, and others less so. For Brisbane, its competitive advantage will be built around People, Performance, Positivity, Power, Productivity and Place.

Against these measures, how does Brisbane measure up? In which areas should we focus stimulus to have the greatest long term impact? How do we build relevant places to meet the needs of a new and very different generation?

The Committee For Brisbane acknowledges the First Nations People of the region and their continuing connection to and care of the land, waters and community of that region.
We also pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
