For more than six decades, the Committee for Brisbane has played a leading role in shaping the city’s evolution—from influencing the creation of South Bank and the Queen Street Mall to championing Brisbane’s successful bid for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. 

As the city enters its most pivotal years, we are focused on ensuring Brisbane seizes the opportunities ahead by driving strong civic and political leadership, supporting smart urban interventions, and advocating for the liveability and character that matter most to our communities. Aside from the obvious benefits that Brisbies will feel from investment in their city, research increasingly shows that visitors, tourists and investors are drawn to the places and spaces that appeal to local populations.
