Julieanne Alroe was, most recently, the Chair of Infrastructure Australia. In addition to this role, Julieanne is a member of the University of Queensland Senate and was appointed to the Board of ERM Power on 24 August 2018.

She is also a Member of the Council of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce QLD (AMCHAM and is the Inaugural President of the Queensland Futures Institute (QFI).

Julieanne retired in June 2018 from Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) where she held the position of CEO and Managing Director since 1 July 2009. With more than 40 years’ in the aviation industry, she was one of only a handful of women in the world to run a privatised airport.

After more than 25 years working in the television and radio industry, Kylie Blucher has gained extensive knowledge of the Australian media landscape.

Working with both Southern Cross Austereo Radio Network and the Nine Entertainment Company, Kylie has held various sales, marketing, promotions and publicity positions to become a knowledgeable, highly respected and sought-after authority within the media industry.

Prior to Kylie’s tenure with Nine, Blucher moved through the ranks within the Southern Cross Austereo Radio Network, holding Executive roles in Brisbane at B105 and in Sydney at 2Day FM and Triple M.

Returning to Brisbane in 1997, Kylie began her career in television at Nine Queensland as the Marketing Director. Blucher swiftly moved through the Programming and Marketing ranks, before taking on her current position as Managing Director in 2010. Six years later, Kylie took the helm of NBN Television in Newcastle and now holds the position of Managing Director.

Kylie has held several board positions over the past 10 years, including Major Brisbane Festival (Deputy Chair), Surf Lifesaving Queensland Foundation, the Queensland Eye Institute Foundation, Youngcare, the Queensland Performing Arts Trust, President Committee For Brisbane, and currently sits on the Tourism & Events Queensland Board and the Future Women Board.

Brett is the co-founder of online healthcare brand ePharmacy and Chemist Warehouse QLD. He is the past chair of QLD Ballet, current Chair of the Queensland Rugby Union and a director of the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. With his wife Maria,  he is also a Patron of the Mater Foundation.

Gert-Jan de Graaff was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Ltd in June 2018.

Current Board appointments include the position of Director on the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific Regional Board in April 2020 and Director on the Australian Airports Association Board in December 2020.

Gert-Jan has more than 25 years’ experience in leadership roles at major airports around the world. He started his career in airport management in 1995 with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in The Netherlands where he had a number of roles. These included management positions in the commercial, finance and strategic departments.

In 2005 Gert-Jan de Graaff was appointed as Managing Director of ASDC AB, the Company that manages and develops the commercial activities in the terminals of Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in Sweden.

Between 2007 and 2012 Gert-Jan held senior executive roles with Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Ltd, including General Manager Commercial Services and General Manager Strategic Planning & Development.

Prior to his return to Brisbane Airport in 2018 Mr de Graaff lead the bid for Galeão / Rio de Janeiro Airport in Brazil on behalf of Royal Schiphol Group and his most recent position was President & CEO of JFKIAT LLC, the private operators of Terminal 4 at John F Kennedy International Airport since 2014.

Previous Board appointments include the position of Chairman of Airport Coordination Netherlands, and Board Memberships with Airports Council International North America (WBP), Air Cargo Netherlands, Cargonaut BV, and several tourism attraction agencies.

Scott is a business consultant specialising in business, media and political engagement. As a former Queensland Government Minister, he held the portfolio of Minister for Transport and Main Roads and the key finance role of Treasurer spokesperson in Opposition. As a journalist and commentator, he has held senior roles across tv, radio and print for Australia’s leading media organisations including the ABC, The Australian and the Nine Network.

Sue is a highly accomplished executive having joined the Advisory Council as Group Executive Queensland at Transurban where she oversaw the development, financing, construction and operations of Brisbane’s toll road network. Prior to this, Sue led Customer Operations and Human Resources, and is credited with transforming the business’ global customer service approach.

Sue has completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education, a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Science and is a member of the Australian Institute (AI) of Company Directors and AI Chief Customer Officers.

Mr Lister was responsible for establishing Queensland Leisure to expand into the specialised area of managing major venues, firstly with the Brisbane Entertainment Centre upon its opening in 1986, and later the development of the business into a global network of venues in partnership with the US‐based global industry giant Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), the leading entertainment, sports and venue company in the world. In 2019 AEG and SMG merged to form ASM Global and it’s international family of facilities comprises over 300 of the industry’s pre‐eminent venues worldwide, across 5 continents.

Harvey’s current positions include:

• Chairman and Chief Executive of ASM Global (Asia Pacific) Pty Ltd operating entities currently managing 20 major venues throughout Australia and across Asia and the Middle East.
• Director of Australia’s peak tourism industry group – Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF).

Dr. Alan Patching brings multiple competencies to C4B across a range of disciplines. He is perhaps best known in Brisbane for being the founding Director of well-respected project management consultancy RCP, and he is better known more broadly for his work as owners’ Project Director for the design and construction of the Sydney Olympic Stadium, CEO of the owning entity of the largest Olympic stadium venue ever built, and member of the Sydney Olympics Venues Management Committee. He also was Project Director for the early stages of Lang Park redevelopment (Suncorp) and advisor to the Treasurer and the Queensland Cabinet Review Committee for the construction phase. In all Alan Patching has a career experience in property and construction totalling some $20 billion in 2020 values. He is now a professor of construction management and quantity surveying, and of project management at Bond University, as well as serving as Director of Industry Engagement for Bond. He also holds a masters degree and a PhD in the psych-related area of workplace stress, and supervises PhD candidates in both the construction and psychology areas at Bond.

Advising major clients across the public and private sectors, Eddie specialises in solving some of the most complex and challenging issues that companies face today.

This includes navigating the Competition and Consumer Act and various regulatory regimes, large-scale ICT acquisitions and system integration projects, complex procurement projects, intellectual property issues, and the structuring of strategic technology and marketing joint ventures and sponsorship arrangements.

Ann is one of Australia’s leading business executives with a career that spans Government, Banking and Cruise Tourism. She is an active philanthropist with a passion for improving opportunities and removing barriers for women in STEM and sport, and supporting opportunities for Indigenous Australians.

Ann is the Chair of UNICEF Australia, Enero Group, the Port of Townsville and Queensland Airports Limited. She is the Chancellor of Queensland University of Technology and a Non-executive Director of National Australia Bank.

Ann is an Adviser, the former Chairman and was Chief Executive Officer of Carnival Australia for a decade. Carnival Australia is the largest cruise ship operator in the Australia/Pacific region.

Beginning her working life as a Radiographer, Ann became First Assistant Secretary of the Office of the Status of Women in Canberra before moving to the banking sector initially in HR roles, then in CEO roles with Westpac NZ and the Bank of Melbourne.

The Australian Government awarded Ann the Centenary Medal in 2001 and in 2004 she was awarded an Order of Australia. In 2015 Ann was named as the overall winner of the Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence Award.

Raynuha joined Springfield Land Corporation in 1998 as Director Corporate. In February 2013, Raynuha was appointed Managing Director of the Springfield City Group. Over the years, Raynuha has been closely involved in the building of the Greater Springfield City, located in one of the fastest growing statistical local area in the country. Greater Springfield is an award winning project encompassing six suburbs and home to approximately 37,000 people.

Trevor has over 60 years’ experience in the energy industry, including 23 years in planning and leadership roles within NSW and Queensland public utilities. In 1980 Trevor moved to the private sector and founded various energy consultancies beginning with ERM Consultants which over time evolved into ERM Power Limited, which was acquired by Shell Energy Australia in November 2019.

In 2013, Trevor founded the Brisbane-based St Baker Energy Innovation Fund (StBEIF) which is an active investor in a portfolio of early stage innovative technology companies that are developing disruptive products and business models in the e-mobility and clean energy sectors.
Trevor plays an active role in the broader energy industry and is a respected energy analyst and investor in the Australian electricity sector including electrifying transport. He is actively engaged in public energy policy debate with particular interest in clean energy transformation in Australia and worldwide.

Trevor is a Director on the Board of the Energy Policy Institute of Australia and is either Director or Chair on the Boards of all StBEIF investee companies. He is Director and Chair of Sunset Power International t/a Delta Electricity and Great Southern Energy and a Founding Director of SMR Nuclear Technology Pty Ltd.

In 2016, Trevor was awarded an Officer (AO) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to business and commerce as a leader and executive in the energy sector, and through philanthropic support for a range of health, arts and Indigenous youth programs.

Peter Varghese began as Chancellor of The University of Queensland on 11 July 2016. Prior to this appointment, Mr Varghese’s extensive career in public service and diplomacy spanned 38 years and included senior positions in foreign affairs, trade policy and intelligence. Most recently, he served as Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2012-2016).

Previous senior appointments included High Commissioner to India (2009-2012), High Commissioner to Malaysia (2000-2002), Director-General of the Office of National Assessments (2004-2009), and Senior Advisor (International) to the Prime Minister of Australia (2003-2004).

Mr Varghese was the author of a comprehensive India Economic Strategy to 2035 commissioned by the Australian Prime Minister and submitted in July 2018.

Mr Varghese sits on the boards of AMP Pty Limited and North Queensland Airports.

Laura Maxwell is News Corp Australia’s State Managing Director of Queensland. Laura is a highly experienced C-Suite Executive and Board Director with a proven track record of driving sustainable profit and market-share growth with powerhouse brands. Most recently as CEO of Stuff Media Group in NZ and with prior roles of Chief Digital Officer and Chief Commercial Officer at New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME), her experience spans both transformation at large-scale corporations and building digital start-ups such as OneRoof real state platform. Known for thriving in complexity, Laura excels at strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and looking for the magic at the intersection of people and technology.
