Brisbane 2033: Legacy Project

Business of the Games #9: the circular economy Games

As the host city (region), Brisbane has committed to a circular economy approach to the Games in 2032.
“The development of a holistic and integrated approach is essential to manage goods and materials throughout the Games lifecycle and optimise value throughout the process. Fundamentally this is about taking a circular economy approach and applying it to the staging of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.” (Host city contract – operational requirements).
Just what does that mean in practice and how might government, business and industry respond?
Join the Committee for Brisbane and its panel of circular economy experts and practitioners to explore this important topic.
