Brisbane 2033: Legacy Project

Brisbane Open House: Tour at “HOME”

You are invited to an exclusive, private tour of the historic “Home” at Kangaroo Point. Limited to 100 visitors only (maximum two tickets per person)

Being lovingly restored by its owners, Mr Steve Wilson AM and Dr Jane Wilson AO, heritage-listed “Home” is an architectural symbol of turn-of-the-century Brisbane and is on the Australian Institute of Architects’ list of nationally significant 20th century buildings.

Previously known locally as Lamb House, “Home” remained in the Lamb family for more than 100 years but was rapidly decaying and came close to ruin. The Wilsons took charge in June 2021 and have pledged to restore, protect and care for this Brisbane icon.

The Committee for Brisbane is offering two, “sneak peek” site tours of “Home” on Sunday, 19 November – at 2pm and 4pm. Each 90-minute tour will be led by the project’s architects and conclude with canapés and drinks overlooking the Brisbane River.

Tickets are $300.00 and strictly limited to 50 persons per tour. Net proceeds will be donated to Brisbane Open House to support its important activities.

Each tour will be led by a project Architect.
